If you need a bleeding edge chip you can configure a poweredge 400 server with a 3.2ghz chip for $573. Hot, considering the bare chip alone goes for $680 on pricewatch. No OS, though.

This unit is confirmed by Dell to have an AGP slot, onboard audio and hyperthreading. It accepts non-ecc memory, effectively making it just like their desktop line.

Start here.

Add 3.2ghz, free keyboard and mouse.

Hard drive upgrades are reasonable:

50% OFF the Upgrade to a 80GB 7.2K RPM IDE Hard Drive [add $35 or $1/month1]
50% OFF the Upgrade to a 120GB 7.2K RPM IDE Hard Drive [add $85 or $3/month1]

It's got the Intel 875P chipset, but anyone know what motherboard that would be? Only asking because if it comes with an AGP slot, which is highly doubtful, then I might pick up one for my little brother.

Very nice price indeed, iwearnosox make sure you remove operating system and make sure that the cpu you choose is the 3.2ghz upgrade solution and not the default 3.2ghz !
you should then see these prices and discount too

total = $698:00
discount = $125:00

Does it have a AGP port? I can't seem to find that info... Just want to know what the mb has on it besides the nic.

Accoding to the "Installation and update" .pdf file, you are correct! :(

Nice rig....just not good video! :(

Side question: Does this system support HyperThreading? (BIOS support, etc?)?
