Newer versions of this RAM have the SPD setting tweaked so compatibility should be fine now.

Edit:

Specs are contradictory; lead-in says 5-5-5-12, fine print says 5-6-6-15 at 2.1v. The OCZ Part Number (OCZ2G8002GK) is for OCZ Gold Gamer eXeme XTC DDR2-800, which should be 5-5-5-12 at 2.0v and is much more expensive at ZipZoomFly.

Knowing Fry's/Outpost.com, anything is possible...
