Doh! You beat me to it. ;)

:)

Yes, originally it was the eVGA, but that Link is dead and they added the Link to the Gigabyte (same Site).

Yes it is, that's why I had to jump all over this one.

I just hope they go ahead and send me the eVGA I ordered :)

Fortunately I printed out the Ad on their Site and the Order info so I should be covered if they try to do a switch on me ;)

yep it is DEAD.

I wonder if it was a price mistake or is it a sign of things to come (other deals like this).

Yeah, the way they changed from the eVGA to the Gigabyte, makes me wonder if it was some kind of Lightning promotion.

Avoid this Vendor.

As mentioned when I posted, they said they had the card in stock, this was after I had already ordered it.

Now I get an email saying the card is out of stock and on backorder, and that they want me to cancel my order :(

My guess is a Bait & Switch just for positive reviews/feedback. Sorry, I've already requested my review be deleted, and I may soon be amending it as well.

agreed, who gives a positive review before getting the product fully working ? the main point of the review is about the time until they ship, the packaging, the condition of the product once it arrives, and customer support to resolve any issues.

Anyway, since wanderer27 didn't get it, I think no one got it, and it was just a price mistake, which they are now trying to get out of by using the out-of-stock/backorder excuse. It would be better if they just admitted it was a price mistake instead of using lies. Agreed this vendor is not to be trusted.

Well, the review I was talking about was just about the "shopping" experience. I had no intention of doing a Vendor review until I had received a working Card.

What really irritates me is that they changed the initial deal from the eVGA to the Gigabyte.

One price mistake maybe, but changing it to another card and doing the same thing ? Not acceptable
