Ok, bear with me here, this post may get a bit involved. First off, the initial deal.
Simple Method (D80 Body Only) - $810 + tax
Nikon D80 Body at CC
Now, for those who don't mind a little work, follow along. I managed to get this to work this morning, and couldn't be happier.
Hard Method (involves selling the kit 18-135 lens & possible ADDITIONAL coupon) - $729 ($689 is YMMV)
Nikon D80 w/ 18-135mm Kit at CC
Whew, that took entirely too long to write out. As I said before, the Body alone is very easy to do, and an excellent price (cheapest from a reputable online shop is $900, most stores are $1000). If you don't mind the work, you can save quite a bit more, but YMMV as to the last bit.
Good luck and Have Fun!
Simple Method (D80 Body Only) - $810 + tax
Nikon D80 Body at CC
- CircuitCity.com has a web only sale right now on Digital Cameras, all D80's are $100 off. Keep in mind, body alone is not available in store.
- When you add the D80 to your cart, the price will be $899. ($999 - $100 instant)
- Click HERE to find some 10% off $199 coupons on eBay, i picked up a pack of four for $3 and they arrived in about 2 minutes. Unlike the Geico Privlidges coupon (which excludes Nikon cameras), many of these do in fact work. Just read the fine print before you buy.
- Apply the 10% off coupon to your cart and an additional $89.99 will be taken off.
- Grand Total - $810 + tax (Breakdown $999 - $100 instant - $89.99 coupon = $810 + tax)

Nikon D80 w/ 18-135mm Kit at CC
- CircuitCity.com has a web only sale right now on Digital Cameras, all D80's are $100 off, including the D80 18-135mm kit which is available both for in store pickup and for shipping.
- When you add the D80 Kit to your cart, the price will be $1199. ($1299 - $100 instant)

- Apply the 10% off coupon to your cart and an additional $120 will be taken off.
- Subtotal - $1079 (Breakdown $1299 - $100 instant - $120 coupon = $1079)
- Now, for the fun part. The 18-135mm kit lens is quite a highly regarded lens by many, therefore the eBay price is relatively high. Based on some quick research, pretty much every auction sells for AT LEAST $350, many going over $400. The higher you can sell the kit lens, the cheaper the body becomes. I based my prices above on a conservative $350, since you will have to pay fees on the listing, final value, and Paypal.
- So once the lens is sold, your looking at $1079 - $350 (est. resale value for the lens) = $729 + tax (or less)
- Now, here is where the YMMV comes into play, there is also an additional $40 off $199 in-store only coupon, its floating around on other deal sites. When you go in-store to do the pickup, show the CSR the coupon. I did so this morning and she took an additional $40 off, no questions asked. Its definitely YMMV as the coupon says copies not accepted, but i've seen many use it in the various CC threads, as well as friends who got it to work as well.
- Grand Total (YMMV): $1079 - $350 (est. resale value for the lens) - $40 coupon = $689 + tax (or less)
