Amazon currently has Nicron N7 flashlight for $19 -35% off coupon = $12
These are very handy for hands free use due to the strong neo magnet on the tailcap and swivel head to aim it to any angle between 0' and 90'. It's also just within a tolerable (YMMV) weight to use as a headlamp on a ball cap, having a reversible pocket clip to allow that.
Takes AA cell for 250 lumens or 14500 for 600 lumens. Contrary to the text in the link, battery not included. These are near honest lumen ratings, not wildly inflated ratings you see on so many of the generic flashlights on Amazon.
They also have the larger N9, 18650 cell version discounted to $24 with a coupon:
Besides my EDC pocket flashlight, I use an N9 as often as any other flashlights I own, though one annoyance is it makes a slight high pitched humming noise from the driver circuit, so not ideal to place near your head while working. Might just be a loose inductor coil on the specimen I have, but I don't see an easy way to open the head to fix that or do any mods otherwise.
Edit: This is the newer version of the N9 that does have USB charging, though still a removable battery too, which according to the amazon page is included. I have the older version w/o USB charging. It might be the same build of the light itself, with the included battery having the USB charge port on it.
