Edit: newegg had some decent prices on refurb Ti4200s yesterday. As of 8:57am on 9-17-2003 they still have a Ti4600 for $115 and a (very) few other decent refurb video cards left. You can check them out here.

Edit: All the good stuff is gone, for now.

Ack...which one to get.

Grabbed the V9280TD. If there's a problem, I can always return it. :) Thanks for the deal.

I noticed the Asus one for only $69 I would get that one but I just bought the Albatron Ti4280PV 128mb 8x from them last week. I don't know about other peoples experiences with newegg refurbs but the one I got looked just like new and it acts like it too.

I got one of these last february for $100 from Newegg. That was a GREAT price then, but not so much to speak about now. Nice post though

Not worth it. I tried 2 from them, both were piles of crap, 1 of which could have been diagnosed in 10 seconds if they took the effort.

I recently bought an XFX Ti4200 ($85) and an Albatron Ti4800SE ($99) from Newegg, both refurbs and both screaming performers. Free delivery in 48 hours on the east coast and excellent products. I'll buy from them again anytime, knowing that at some point in the refurb game I may have to RMA something. I'd also note that Newegg sure doesn't skimp on the warnings when you order a refurb!

Just to chime in,

I ordered one of these, specifically speaking the Abit 64MB card. I recieved it with everything retail, etc. Not only that, but the card worked great, and even OCed pretty well. After playing with it a bit, I sold it for $10 more than I got it for.

I ordered the V9280TD. Think I got the last one 'cause I refreshed after I purchased and now it is out of stock. Thanks a ton, I've been looking for a good video card deal for a while. I love you, FPSguy.

CoolTech, I recommend the 4800SE for $96.

Edit: Hey, lucky for you it's the only one left in stock of the current batch of refurbs.

4800SE is just an old 4400 pumped up to 8x, right?

Ditto on my refurb Albatron 4800SE; it came in the retail box with all cables and manual.

I must warn people against the 9280 TI4200 Asus vid card. I am now on my second brand new card and the onboard fan is failing on it as well. After a month or two of use the fans start making a hellatious noise...getting louder and louder....this is only my experience but if it happened on 2 new cards my guess is others are having the same probs.

Why would you buy a card if you didn't know anything about it? I always research hardware before buying it and putting it in my rig. But that's just me
