Thanks OP. Just placed an order for that single slot GTX260. I hope I got the order in on time / that funds haven't been exhausted for the promotion yet.

I know what you mean. You never really know if the funds are exhausted or not. I had a chat session yesterday with Newegg and asked if there was any notification that would follow my order showing the cashback. Her response: Nope....If the funds are available they will be in your paypal account by 1/31/2010.

Then you have a few more hours to pick up the OCZ Vertex 60GB for $209. It's a shell-shocker. That and the 10% off puts it at $170. No tax. I ordered one. PEACE.

EDIT: It's $170 after the $20 mail-in rebate as well.

I'm really tempted to get one of these for the new Core I5 build that I'm getting ready to build next week. Already have 2 WD - 640GB Caviar Blue drives but this would be fantastic (I think). Also have Win 7 Pro ready to load up so it should support TRIM.

Damn, I'm trying to decide here. Would be my first SSD. I assume that I need to buy a 3.5 to 2.5 bracket kit too? Regular SATA data and power cable fit this thing?

Should not be spending...but I really want a SSD for my new system! ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!1

This whole Bing cash back is total BS. You make the purchase in reliance on a discount that you may or may not get-and if you don't get it you won't find out until it is way too late to return the merchandise.

I'm presently looking for both a laptop and a desktop, and probably would have pulled the trigger on buying the desktop (or hardware bundle) at least from Newegg if I was more comfortable about getting the Bing cashback. Newegg is a great vendor but this Bing promotion is hookey.

This is a PayPal promotion, not Bing. At least Bing shows a logo with % back at the top of the Newegg page. I take a screen shot and save it just to make sure. As for the PayPal promo, not sure. Never had an issue before but YMMV.

My vertex is sitting on top of my 2tb HDD, just lying there. And yes, it uses regular SATA data and power. I don't even have it secured in any way.

I've never had any problem with Bing on any transaction.
99.99% of the problems with Bing are attributable to user error.

I think that's a lousy and unacceptable way to run a promotion. I did not buy anything in it.
