Thread is probably too old to edit thread title. Would need a moderator to change it at this point, IIRC.
i can edit the titles of my own threads that are over a year old...OP must click on "edit" and then click on "go advanced"...he should be able to edit the title from there...or if a moderator sees this sooner than the OP does, perhaps he/she could edit the thread title for the OP as you suggested.
You can edit them but it won't show on the forums (that I know of). I know about the <Advanced> button but there is some sort of expiration time limit of titles actually showing in the forum. I have had to get the moderators/admins to edit thread titles of several threads over the years.
Of course, that could have changed and I am not aware of it.
Edit: I just tried to edit a thread title of a thread that I started on 9/5/12 and I could not edit the title and make it show on the forum. It shows in the OP but not when viewing threads in the forum.
thanks for the info...that might explain why i was able to edit out a [dead] in the title of one of my own Hot Deal threads, and couldn't figure out why it wasn't changing...
I missed out on this deal
I have 7 of these fans, 4 140mm and 3 120mm, and both models work just fine in the horizontal position. They are very quiet and are very well built. Buy with confidence .
What do you mean? It's still going on right now on Newegg.
those those who missed out on this deal back on the 27th, its alive yet again...and this time its good through the 7th of this month!
One note about these fans-at full tilt they are loud, at least by my standards. I cannot run them above 50% and tolerate the noise. If I needed that much air moved, I'd opt for headphones (at least while gaming). Otherwise, they are a quality product.
deal is back yet again, this time w/ promo code EMCJJND49
valid through 11/12
One of my favorite fans. At $10/pop, it's time to grab the hole saw and port some more.
These are on sale. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835553001
As far as I can tell they are the same but without PWM. Still crazy cheap though with the volume discount and the promo code I got 3 of them for $24. The orange is kind of meh but function over form.
Edit: It Seems like the non-pwm ones are 1200rpm rather than 1500rpm of the others.
nice find. you might want to start a separate thread for this fan...otherwise only those who scroll to the end of this thread will know that the non-PWM version is on sale too.
the black version of this fan is now on sale for $10 shipped as well (through 11/11) w/ promo code EMCJJNA28:
...didn't even know this version existed. i would have preferred the mostly black units to the orange ones. fortunately i care more about function than i do form.
deal is live yet again ^
What?! For Serious?! You, sir, have ruined my day. (Yes, I'm ridiculously behind in my tech news)
hey, it ruined my day as well when i found out about it just over a week ago:
What Happened to ScyTHE
Use promo code BTEJJHB62 for 20% off. At $8/fan (shipped) they are a steal and the ideal stocking stuffer for all your digital friends and family.
guys, i screwed up...the CF-V12HP fan is the original topic of this thread, and the fan that's actually on sale right now for only $10 shipped is the non-PWM version of this fan (the CF-V12H)...sorry about the everyone, i'll be more careful next time.
Damn, I ordered another one at $10 before I saw your post.
i hope you saw my last post too, as this thread was originally about the CF-V12HP, not the CF-V12H (the non-PWM version)...i didn't realize this until after i bumped the thread to the top...so my apologies if you meant to order the PWM version.
ok the $9.99 shipped deal is back, but this time its for the black version of this fan (CF-V12HPB)...and i double-checked this time to make sure its the 4-pin PWM version of the fan, and not the 3-pin non-PWM version. i can't really find an expiration date, so buy 'em while you can...
^And on top of that, it's $9.99 without a coupon code, and there's a 20% off all case fans coupon code (EMCJHND44) thru 12/8, making these $7.99! :awe:
