Broadcast only, not cable, HDTV.

[EDIT: EXPIRED DEAL] http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815345015

Are you sure? Used to be that their ATSC tuners could also handle clear QAM cable. This is not a cablecard model, so it does not do encrypted cable. It also does not transcode to x.264 x.265, unlike some newer models, so it sends out an untouched high bandwidth mpg2 transport stream. Seems like a good price, especially if you need more tuners in a household. I'm doing ok with cheap pcie tuner cards in a WMC HTPC.

Back has coax, rj45, and power. All the hook up diagrams show antenna to coax, but says

8-VSB (ATSC over-the-air digital TV)
QAM64/256 (unencrypted digital cable TV)
100baseTX high speed network

So if anybody still had unencrypted cable I guess they could plug it in for some channels, but one coax in mean broadcast or cable, not both.

I have a Homerun Prime and TWC which means you need an adapter box and cablecard for just about anything.
