So those with existing Chase credit cards cannot receive the bonus? or just if you already have a Chase Freedom card?

I think it's only if you already have a Freedom card, but I can't say for sure.

Wow...nice find!

(assuming the bonus applies to new Chase Freedom cardholders, and not Chase cardholders)

"Receive $250 after your first purchase"

This makes it seem like you get it right away.

I called Chase's application hotline twice, and both times the rep told me that you had to earn $200 in rebates in order to request a check for $250.

I'll give them another call tomorrow and see what they say.

Also, both reps said that the "existing cardmembers/accounts" clause referred to existing Chase Freedom cardholders only.

Does anyone know how the rewards are returned with this card? Are the rewards credited to your account the next billing statement, or do you have to reach $X before they distribute the reward?

Okay, after clicking ont he receive $250 after your first purchase.

*You will receive $200 in bonus rebate which can be redeemed for a $250 check. Please allow 6 to 8 weeks after your first purchase....

So that means they give you a $200 in bonus rebate after your first purchase. Because once you accumulate $200 bonus rebate using this cc, Chase will give you another $50 on top of it, thereby giving you a total of $250 in rebate that you can redeem.

On the card I have already it was a pain canceling the Identity Protection Plan that they automatically signed me up for...got it on the 3rd call though after a week.

With the chase freedom card, once you receive $200 in rebates, they give you a bonus $50.

With this deal, they start you out with $200 in rebates after the first purchase, plus the $50 bonus for accumulating $200 in rewards.

That means we have to use the credit card for at least $200 to get a $200 rebate, and then we can click a link to get a check of $250, which includes the $200 rebate?

I got instant approval!

I don't know what the confusion is here, the terms are perfectly clear on the site. The $250 rewards check can be mailed 6-8 weeks after the first purchase. I think you're all getting the terms of this promotion confused with the regular rewards programs terms.
