JAKARTA, Indonesia - A dead passenger traveled unnoticed for at least half a day on an executive passenger train, an Indonesian newspaper reported Friday.

Anxious family members found the body of Edy Haryanto, 55, sitting in a locked lavatory on Thursday afternoon, more than a day after he had boarded with a group of friends in the central Javanese town of Tegal, the Warta Kota newspaper reported.

One dead guy goes unnoticed on a train.

Although the guy had suffered a stroke while on the train, no one even noticed that he died in a locked room.

He was in the bathroom? You'd think someone would have noticed no one had used that bathroom for a while.

Probably so, I'm guessing they may not have been enough people on board at the time to see him, I really don't know.

Reminds me of Collateral --

VINCENT:
I read about this guy. Gets on the MTA, here, and dies. Six hours he's riding the subway before anybody notices. This corpse doing laps around LA, people on and off, sitting next to him, nobody notices.

I sometimes think if I died in my dorm room I don't think I'd be pulled out for at least a week. Sure my friends would be calling me, but I'm notorious for not answering the phone.

Not really. One guy goes, notices the doors locked, assume someone is using. Next guy, same thing. First guy comes back and thinks "Damn, missed it again, but it's my stop."
