I picked it up from GameStop (and activated on Steam) when it was $10 a few months back. Fantastic game! Absolutely worth the $5.

I put over 40 hours on it with a few pals and really, really enjoyed the experience. Been thinking about replaying it but D3 has been getting all the attention.

Is it single-system Co-op or internet-only Co-op?

It's up to 3 player co-op (3 classes to chose from).

If you're playing solo, the NPC's (bots) will fill in the other classes during the story.

stutters on my PC anyone else?

Occasional lag on the rainy town/village ....don't remember what it's called. That's pretty much it, though.

I think since the developers/designers dropped the support so quickly from the title it didn't get the finesse that other games have with a steady patch stream.

I'm on a 3.5 PII Quad, 8GB DDR3 and Raid0 SSD's with a 6770 currently (1980x1200) for reference.

Was thinking about buying this a few days ago, but isn't the game a bit choppy and awkward? Gameplay didn't seem smooth. Or is it just me?

I put 40+ hours on it with a few friends, and the cut-scenes needed work - but the gameplay itself is very good (to me at least) if you like that hack/slash/loot type system. The graphics aren't bad at all...

Game is built pretty specifically for co-op, and does a pretty amazing job with it. Otherwise if you're not going to play through with at least one friend (if not 2 as intended) then its an average experience at best and not necessarily worth it unless you're a diehard LoTR fan.

I remember playing this game when it came out shortly before Skyrim and it truly made me yearn for a proper co-op mode for an Elder Scrolls game.

My wife and I loved playing Dungeons and Dragons Heroes and Gauntlet on the Xbox years ago. Can you play 2 person co-op on the same computer using gamepads? Are gamepads adequate for this game or does it play better on a keyboard and mouse?

Thanks.

Yep, $3.75 with the code posted above. I jumped on it, thanks OP (even though it's an old post ;)).

OP: You might want to edit the post title so people know the deal is alive again.

I haven't been able to change the title under advanced edit LOL (It's not sticking.) I posted in forum issues about it... hope to change soon.

EDIT: Dead again LOL

If that won't work let it die here and open the thread in the games section? It is a good sale, can't last for much longer.
