Anyone who uses a headset for gaming should pick these up at this price. I love mine, very comfortable, packed with features, and great mic pickup/clarity. The 7.1 positional audio works about as well as you could expect for headphones. Again, very comfortable, even with prolonged use they have never bothered my ears or head.

I ordered. I still need to pick it up from the store though. I have been playing BC2 with earbuds and I have a hard time picking out sounds behind me. I used to have a 4 speaker system and I could locate enemies etc around me, I miss that.
some reviews people bitched about certain things.. often driver wishes. I noticed there are newer drivers since alot of the reviews I read, so hopefully they've been improved.

any input on how this is for music?
Ehh...I've used other headphones I liked better for music. However I should state they probably sound better for music when used in 2 channel mode (which I never remember to disable surround), so I'm probably not the best judge. It's also possible my creative x-fi just sounded better for musical tracks than the logitech solution.

yea usb basically invalidates what ever existing sound solution you have, which might be a good thing if your using integrated...

Why couldn't they do the sale on the Wireless version? :(

I'm in need not only for a gaming headset but a Google Voice one that will allow me to dial a local number on my computer for free and just lay down on the couch talking to my family members abroad instead of being hooked on a leash to my comp.

Found out we only have the wireless G39s at our BB. :(
That is on sale for $129.99 which seems okay, but that is not as good as the $65 deal for the version in this thread.

Why don't you order online and select "in-store pickup"?

I suppose I could if I really wanted them, but since I work there I checked anyways, and if I ordered them I can't consider it an impulse buy. Plus, checking around they don't work with PS3 (unsurprisingly), so I might just have to settle for some Turtle Beach or Astros down the road.

Best Buy SKU#: 1239317 is Xbox360 and PS3 compatible.

Of course, there is no mention of PC or Windows support, so it looks like you still have to buy 2 headsets.

I've got a FATAL1TY headset right now, and I don't game on PC as much as I do on my PS3, which is the reason for a TB or Astro. I could go with those, but I really wish there was a way to compare them without buying/returning/etc. I was looking at the Astros as they have an external amp and utilize the optical audio port which would give better sound than the RCA jacks, and actually aren't too expensive from the seemingly good quality they seem to be. Only thing about TB headsets is that they are supposed to be a little bit cheaper built, sacrificing durability. I like Logitech as a brand, and if those ones were on sale now I'd probably pick them up, but I suppose for now I'll just have to wait. If I predominately PC gamed, I'd surely be in for these, but considering the last game I've really played on PC has been L4D2, buying a headset for just PC use seems sort of a waste for me.
