Dead laptop HD to external enclosure

I want to take a HD from a dead Micron laptop and put in external enclosure to test and use as backup. I bought a Bytecc 2.5" HDD Mobile Enclosure but the pins don't line up. Do I need an adapter or do I need a different enclosure? The HD is a 10gig IBM Travelstar 4200rpm. Thx. Jim
