Okay, my laptop hard drive is acting... weird. I have seen a dying hard drive before, and this is totally different, so here's the thing. When I RMA'd my hard drive, I put all my MP3's on my laptop (with a 2.1Gb hard drive). I had to decide which MP3's I really wanted to keep, so when I finally transfrerred them all over, the laptop had around 20Mb free (heh). So anyway, it started to have some slowdowns while I was using it to check e-mail and go online, so I decided to uninstall all the unnecessary items (games, apps, etc.); nothing that was necessary for anything. So a couple days later, IE crashed and I had to restart, and it went through scandisk, but then it did a surface scan (why, I don't know, but whatever I just let it do it, I figured it would take about an hour or so). When I come back to check it, it go stuck at 92% and the fan (??) was making weird noises (like it was powering up then down again). The computer did nothing. So anyway, I have to press the power button to restart. Anyways, every time I start up the laptop, scandisk starts, and then it goes for the surface scan, so if I want to use it, then I need to exit it. Which is strange, the lappy works fine, but whenever it tries to do the surface scan, it always stops at 92% and the fan always makes weird noises. Anyone know what's up? I've never seen anything like this occur before...
Thanks,

Edit-
If it helps, it uses Windows 95b (the IE version, yay!). got a Pentium MMX 166Mhz, 48Mb RAM. Not really much else of note, jsut good for online purposes when my computer is retarded, or when I feel like typing papers while lying down on the couch or something.
