So the Fuse blew on my Klipsch Speakers and i need to replace it. It has a 5amp 125volt fuse so I went and got some at radio shack but they blew the second i turned it on. I heard that what i need is a slow blow fuse not a fast acting. but i can't find a 5amp 125volt glass fuse. any idea where i would get one or if a 5amp 250volt slow blow would work.

Thanks

If it blew the second fuse the moment it turned on, it may have some other sort of problem. A fuse is just a fuse. Something is overpowered.

Call up klipsch their customer support is awesome from my experiance. They will give you one for free if your in warrinty I bet. Just show them a proof of purchase and your good.

If it requires a slow-blow fuse it does for a reason, probably because there is a bit of as surge when they first turn on - not a real problem, but a typical fast-acting fuse will blow instantly, where the slow-blow is a little more tolerant of a quick and minor surge. If you get a slow-blow and it still blows, then your speakers are bad (obviously).

If they require a standard fast-acting fuse, DO NOT replace it with a slow blow otherwise you could burn something else out.

Last time I got one was at radioshack, but they've changed their stock lately so I don't know. I'd go there and ask if they have any slow-blow 5A 125V fuses, and if they don't have any that would fit they may be able to tell you where you can go to get one.

Any idea where online i could go to get it? I was having troubles finding one online... i live in the middle of nowhere going to school and there aren't many choices for me...

my 5.1 klipsch system had the same thing go wrong about 3 years after i bought it. they didnt help me at all.

Umm, yea, cause I think that is why...
