It does say free shipping over $60, but it still seems to work...we'll see...good deal anyway. Thanks OP!

You could spring a few more bucks on Newegg to get the Kingston DataTraveler 1 GB or the Kingston DataTraveler U3 1GB, both for $22.99

Of course shipping kills the deal.

I personally sprang for OCZ OCZ Mini-Kart 1GB flash drive... $19.99 after MIR. Love this thing, VERY durable despite the fact that its leads are exposed, but Maximum PC gave it great ratings in durability and overall performance. The 2GB version version is only $35.99 after rebate.

This thing is TINY... just a tad bit thicker than 2 credit cards and about 4 cm long. Just my 2 cents

just got mine today.. speed is ok, I still like my Cruzer micro better, got it for $9 (512MB) :)

speed: a 220MB file

74 seconds to write on the Kingston
40 seconds on the cruzer

size:

1/4 inch longer than the micro and a bit thicker.

quality:

Kingston is made out of plastic, micro is made out of aluminum or whatever the usb plug is made out of.

But for $17 it is still hot :)

I just go mine, and it works great. It doesn't feel too cheap. Unless you actually try to break it it will hold up fine.

just got it. it's cool -- my 1st flashdrive -- not sure whether it feels like $16.99 (+ tax). does anything this small? still, it was the cheapest i've seen around so i guess it's ok. the only thing is, the little bastard won't go far enough through my front USB (SLK3000B). i have to take the panel off to get it to "click in." pita
