Dead Kennedys...

They are good but the Dead Milkmen were pretty good too. Just started the mp3 for "Punk rock girl".

Thanks for reminding me! Music now just stinks! blah :disgust:

I saw them once. It was at a small venue, like 600 people, sold out. It was a great show, except the pit got a little violent, and crowd surfing was a tad bit scary. Besides a few bruises it was very fun. Best of all, I got free tickets!

"Holiday in Cambodia" is a classic, but I don't own any of their CDs. The punk-parody Dead Milkmen from the same era are good too.

There have been a few "favorite punk band" threads here (probably need to search archives) if hearing the Dead Kennedys whets your appetite for destruction--I mean punk.

I saw them a couple times in high school/college. Used to listen to them alot. I was that girl at school who got the first piercings, shaved part of my head. Ah, the 80s.

DK's great, tho i can only listen to them in small doses now.
ahh DK,Fugazi,Jawbreaker,Op Ivy....memories 🙂

punk isnt punk anymore.🙁
