DEAD: IOGEAR 4-Port USB Hub FREE AR + $3.95 shipping

Ripped from the Shoppers that are Able...

Outpost has the IOGear 4 Port USB hub for free after a $9 mail in rebate.

Also, the link for the rebate was broken on their site when I last checked - I called customer service and they gave me the pdf of the rebate.

If anyone wants it, pm me - or if you wanna be nice and host it for me, i'd be ever so greatful 🙂

<edit>
OF SPECIAL NOTE:
Rebate submission must be postmarked by January 23, 2002 - make sure you send it in ASAP
Rebate is only good for purchases through 1/18/2002

I think it means whether or not you have to run a cable to an outlet to power the unit.

self powered means that you have to plug it in.

nonpowered or buspowered means that you don't need to plug it in... I think

what's the difference between powered and nonpowered usb hubs?
Depend on how much power the USB devices draw, some of them will not work with non-powered one. Not saying this is not a good deal, but I would pay more to get a powered one. Just my $0.02

Danger, Danger, Warning, Warning

Today is January 17, 2002.

"Rebate submission must be postmarked by January 23, 2002."

If you do go for this, make sure to mail in the rebate the same day it arrives.
If it arrives within 6 days, that is, on or before 1/23/2002, of course.
Time is very, very short on this one!

I've been lucky.
I've only been screwed once on a rebate.
By just such a very short submission time that I didn't notice / suspect.

<< i got mine today..very slick looking 🙂 printing out the rebate to do later >>

don't wait too long to fill out that rebate!

yeah - got mine today too...

this is an even better deal than I thought - it works without having to be powered by an ac adapter, so as long as the usb bus can provide enough juice with 4 devices on there, that's one less thing i have to plug in 🙂
