My friend bought a computer from them. Had all types of problems till he figured out they had the cas to low on the ram. Plus the wiring jobs really constrict the airflow. Be prepared to do some tinkering with the pc but overall I give IbuyPower the

Tempting but I'm more concerned they'd throw in a cheap video card, ship it, and then charge a large restocking fee for their mistake. :(

Their PCs are trash. My main rig right now is from them and it was DOA when I got it. It took me weeks to get it running because they misconfigured it and took their sweet time to get me the parts. My ex-boss bought two PCs from them and they were also misconfigured not to mention they were not even connected properly..

Big

yeah i know its dead but this place is definitely shady.

I bought a pc from them before I knew much about hardware and system building. If you don't specify you want brand name parts IE for hard drives, PSU's etc they will throw the cheapest POS they have laying around in it. Got my PC w/ Antec SOHO case with the locks, didn't ship the keys, wiring job was downright awful, gained 4C case temp by fixing it, and their "Approved CPU heatsink and fan" is some knockoff crap that wasn't even aluminum from what I could tell. Noisiest computer I've ever seen. They also positioned my Audigy card directly underneath the vidcard which caused tons of rebooting and errors due to the excess heat on the audigy card. Moved it to the bottom PCI slot and it fixed everything. They're definitely either not so smart on building or just don't care.

I'd rate my experience with them at a 3/10.

Ibuypower is crap...they buy the cheapest video cards, I went through 5 of them until I got one that worked. Also they wired my case terribly. Also they ziptied all the wires in the middle, restricting airflow. I wouldn't buy from them...
