Very nice price, but I don't like very much the fact that it doesn't come with a CF slot. But of course you got a smaller PDA becuase there is no CF slot.

I wish it had CF for WiFi and SD for storage (like the Axim but not as obese).

RossMan, looks like you're wishing for the 2215 :) Unfortunately, that's another ~$100 more.

I own an Axim too, and I like it, but the problem it has is not popular enough. There aren't too many accessories in a store that I can pick up for it. So I essentially have a plain Axim.

Geez people!! ;) Complain complain complain!!! It's only gonna cost you $200 + tax on $250 for a PDA + cradle and it comes with built in Bluetooth and you're still whining :) Get a combo Sandisk Wi-Fi + 128MB combo SDIO card and be happy!:D

I got this some time ago and this is the ONLY truly portable PDA trust me I also have an iPAQ the 64 mb one and an older casio em-500 those are in no way REALLY portable they are big and bulky and make my pants sag. This is the only TRULY portable PDA I have ever had.

Honestly the 2215/2210 isn't that big, and it can be considered portable. It fits in most shirt pockets, but sometimes shows s bit on top. I like the 1900 series form factor a lot also, it is the only pocket PC that I have seen that rivals or even bests Palm's offerings for size and portability.

according to the specs in HP the 1945 model has an "SDIC" slot and the 1935 has an "SDIO" slot.

is that a typo? if not, what's the difference?

thanks.

This is super HOT!!! I just bought the toshiba e350 a couple of weeks ago for $150. The main reason I picked the toshiba over the hp was because of the huge price difference ($150 at that time), and the fact that a cradle and case isn't included, and the small headphone jack. However, this brings the price down to 199 AR with a cradle! The hp is also much better than the toshiba in so many ways:

1. It's smaller (4.46"x2.75"x0.5" for h1945 vs. 4.9"x3.1"x0.4" for e350/355)
2. It's lighter (4.37oz for h1945 vs. 5.2oz for e350/355)
3. It's faster (h1945 comes with a samsung 266mhz cpu which is comparable to intel's 400mhz. e350/355 comes with intel's 300mhz cpu)
4. It has more storage (32mb rom for h1945 vs. 16mb rom for e350/355)
5. It's fully wireless upgradeable! (e350/355 also have SDIO slots, but they can't support the new wifi sd cards that recently came out)
6. It comes with [/b]integrated bloothooth[/b]
7. It comes with the regular windows mobile picture appliction as well as hp's own picture viewer (e350 has nothing, e355 has ArcSoft PhotoBase)
8. It's just so much more asthetically pleasing!

I'm selling my toshiba on ebay after i get this on tuesday :D. This is definatley worth the extra 50 bucks IMO. Thanks so much for the post NFS4!!!

Any good deals on sd WiFi card?
Does this comes with a second backup battary so that it wont lose your data when your main battary runs out?

I think it has a secondary battery built in. I believe that my old 1910 did so the 1945 should as well.

Plus if it is critical data you can use the non-volital "iPaq File Store" feature.

Hey a question, there are two $40 rebates on the OfficeMax website. Do these both apply in addition to the $50 FatWallet one?

I'll hold out for a SLIMMER cheaper SD/CF Pocket PC PDA which uses CF WiFi.

The 2215 is barely any larger/heavier than the 19xx series.
