just got mine via ups, first thots on the mp3 player: no LCD and very very VERY basic functions, but its pretty light and small. sound quality is average, don't know about battery life, these take 2 aaa's
anyone have the original description page cached for ebay purposes?

Just received mine. I like it and have no issue with lacking a display since the buttons on the front making scanning fairly easy.

It has 5 buttons on the front:
1 for play/pause
1 for FWD, 1 for Back
1 for Vol Up
1 for Vol dwn

Has a hold button on the side that disables the front buttons. Has a pwr on/off on the other side.
Very simple operation. The negative I see is that it says MP3 Pocket on the front and it definitly is for your pocket; it has no belt clip of any type. I really like a clip....

The CF card is SMART Modular Technologies and says Made in the USA. I wonder if it is a good CF -- even though I have never had a bad one (I have viking and Mr Flash currently). It does include the Lexar Jumpshot cable but I do not really need it since I have a CF reader.

I would say the deal is worth the $55.

Not too sure about battery life. Hope I can get several hrs from a recharge (I plan on using AAA NIMH).

Ok, I installed the software, rebooted my computer, and then plugged in the USB jumper cable.

Nothing happened...my pc (running Win98) didn't detect anything and didn't install any driver. I have no way to transfer files to the card.

What am I doing wrong? Does this have anything to do with the PCI Bridge errors ("never installed") I see in my System properties?

I have had no problems using other USB devices...

EDIT...tried it on my laptop running W2k...same problem. ???
