Bump for an ending deal.

Placed my order this morning and already shipped UPS 2nd day air. Crutchfield is a great place to buy from.

And for those of you who are thinking of getting in, I did some calculations:

1) If you just order normally without a coupon, you get
$399.95 + $9.95 s/h = $409.90
PM the $399.95 to $255.00 and get $144.95 back
MSN gives you $80 back
Total cost = $184.95 for the receiver alone.

2) If you order with the coupon and nothing else, you get
$399.95 - $25 coupon + $9.95 s/h = $384.90
PM the $374.95 (not sure if this is right) to $255.00 and get $119.95 back
MSN gives you $60 back
Total cost = $204.95 for the receiver alone.

3) If you order with the coupon and add $16 of stuff to get over $400, you get
$399.95 + $16 - $25 coupon + $9.95 s/h = $400.90
PM the $375.91 (not sure if this is right) to $255.00 and get $120.91 back
MSN gives you $80 back
Total cost = $199.99 for receiver and $16 of stuff

Not sure how exactly AmEx deals with the coupon but I calculated the percentage that the coupon takes off the entire purchase and applied that discount to the $399.95 to get $375.91 in the 3rd example. If that's how AmEx does it, then you pay $15.04 for $16 of stuff. If they take off the whole $25, then they'd PM $374.95 to $255.00 and you'd only get $119.95 back and you'd end up paying $16 for $16 of stuff.

However, if I'm wrong in 2 and 3, and they PM the before coupon prices, then those would be the better options. Sorry for the long post, hope someone finds it useful. I did it the 1st way because I didn't want to complicate things.

Call me crazy... but I don't think this site is legit.... did you actually get a pricematch with them?

Sweet!!! Go_Unix, Thanks for the new PM place. That knocks off another $28 bucks making it around $157. It's 1:10 am here. Looks like this is a dead deal.

ThaiBruin,

I haven't tried it yet, because I haven't received the CD/MP3 Player yet. I found the place through searching Yahoo Shopping. It's a Yahoo Store just like the original place that was noted to use, except the one I linked to didn't come up with their own design, and used Yahoo's default store interface. I don't see a reason why it wouldn't be accepted. If it doesn't work you could always pricematch against the original place at $255.

Yea, the only part that worries me about this hyperaudio place is the following caption that's at the bottom of every single page...

<< WE ARE HERE TO PROVE A POINT!!! WE CAN CHARGE YOU UNDER COST LIKE OTHER DEALERS, AND THEN CHARGE YOU INSANE SHIPPING PRICES! FOR YOUR INFORMATION, GO CHECK OUT WWW.UPS.COM to see what it really costs these merchants to ship you a product. >>

Let me know if it works unix :) Oh yea, I finally got my MSN rebate email thingy. SWEET! :D

Not a deal anymore, but wanted to update that I successfully price matched against Hyperaudio. Though, today that site no longer exists. This is just to ease any worries for the people that price matched against them, but haven't gotten their checks yet from AMEX BVG.
