Wow, that was fast. Even with a limit 1 per person it's already sold out!

Hmmm, you can still get one off amazon for 70 bucks... but, might as well buy a 7100 or 8100 for 120. Faster GPU (UHD 630),Twice the cache 6MB vs 3MB and more cores. Looking to build a budget PC for the TV room... I think the 8100 fits the bill.

No offense, but the 8100 isn't even comparable, because it's not even socket-compatible. Either you stick with cheaper 100- and 200-series 1151 boards, and the G4560 (Gold) CPU, OR you jump up to a more expensive Z370 board, and get the i3-8100. The second option is decidedly more expensive, and not generally cross-shopped with the G4560 IMHO.

Non taken. I know... the 7100 is also an option! :) Yes I know, 7100 1151 can use the cheaper board. And is only a few frames slower than the 8100 since they both use the same uhd 630. So, maybe that might still be the way to go. Depends on what your budget and ultimately upgrade path one wants to leave open.

Or for $89.00 you could go with the G4600 Pentium that has the HD 630 graphics as well. ;)

Roger that!

Amazon is showing it for 79 bucks...

Basically the same as the 7100 i3, just clocked about 6~8% slower, bonus! Runs a little cooler! :D

https://www.cpu-monkey.com/en/compare_cpu-intel_pentium_g4600-700-vs-intel_core_i3_7100-677

But, anyway, you'd save about 40 over the i3 for the basically the same CPU. Budget build should be really considering this one. Since, I want an second PC, for the HT room plus can run low end games like Left for dead at a reasonable frame rate with default settings on the 630 HD.

Until the graphics cards come back down to affordable levels ??... Personally a budget build like this would be begging for a 1050ti.
