They haven't responded to a single email of mine. My last one I asked if I could drop by their shop.

Ripp,

I don't think the mods on this board would take too kindly your openness about committing a questionably fraudulent act. Yout may want to re-think the strategy, or at least remove this line from you post!!! Buying stuff from a place which is cheaper only to "gift exchange/store credit" (or whatever) it at a more expensive store to get more credit isn't exactly squeeky clean.

If the yahoo merchant comes through, I can take the camera to Circuit City and get $329 store credit and then keep the memory and reader for free.

As a precaution I went out to my OfficeMax in Colorado Springs and bought the Sony P72 camera package today with 128 mb stick & memory card reader for $329 + a $30 OM online coupon. They had only 2 left at the store... the other 2 stores in my area were sold out. I also had a $50 OM online coupon (if you charge it to Discover Card) but the store would not accept it. The total came to $299.

Can you point me to the $30 OM coupon and tell me how you got them to take it? I know there are codes at FatWally but none are printable. I went by my local OM yesterday but they wouldn't budge on the price.

I printed out one of the online OM coupons found at fatwalley and presented it to the store manager at OM. It really depends on the salesperson or store manager whether they will honor an online coupons. The first OM I went to was out of stock and the store manager wouldn't accept the coupon. Had better luck with the store manager at another OM. YMMV

Yep. I printed out a $30 and a $50 coupon. When I asked them if they would take the $50 off coupon they said no, that would bring the price below their cost... So they accepted the $30 coupon and said they normally don't accept online coupons but since I drove over 15 miles across town they honored it.

Could you give a link?
$379.95 will be a dream price for a Canon 5MP camera!!!

Boy, that does look shady now. They raised all of their camera prices by around $100 or more. Did the merchant misprice everything before? That's very strange...seems either fishy or incompetent.

So Ripp, how did this turn out for you? I noticed that their website seems to have been completely removed. Was this a total scam? Did you ever get your merchandise or did you get taken?
