According to Hitachi's website, it is 7K1000. One of the fastest 7200rpm drives on the market. I saw this on another forum before. It's a pretty hot deal.

How is this drive in a multiuser / RAID setting? I know some drives are better suited for multitasking work than others - has anyone had experience with this drive in that respect?

Eh, that's kind of lame. For $5 more, you could probably get a Spinpoint or Caviar without the rebate hassle. I'm sort of inclined to declare this one dead then :p.
