Excellent price/performance compared to high-end cards.

If you consider overclocking, then there is simply no videocard that can touch the performance/$ at this price right now.

how come I didn't see this deal before no one posted it.

I just got my 7870 myst and it has performed excellent. This has better cooler though and only $30 more? I wanted a card under $300 after tax and shipping.

with rebate this does it. I wanted Gigabyte 7950 but it would be $330+ after tax/ship.

What is ncix return policy? I have only had this 7870 a few days now.

I don't think there were any 7950s at $260 CDN recently.

HD7950 PCS+ also uses less power than the 7870 Myst.

133W avg. vs. 169W avg.

You might want to check their return policy. Call them tomorrow. You might have to pay a 15% restocking fee.

"What if I'm dissatisfied with an item I've bought?

NCIX.com offers a 15-day Satisfaction Guarantee on many items that we sell. Due to supplier and manufacturer restrictions, some opened items will be non-refundable, and any return is subject to prior approval from NCIX.com. Items that are unopened and still in its original shrink wrap and sealed, can be returned without restriction, within 15 days of purchase, unless marked as unreturnable. All items returned to us must be shipped pre-paid.

Items eligible for return are subject to a 15% restocking fee, and if approved by NCIX.com would be eligible for exchange, merchandise credit or refund. Due to the volatile nature of computer prices, items will only be refunded at the current pricing at the time of return. Software must be in its original box and unopened (still sealed in its original shrink wrap). Defective software will be exchanged with the same title (subject to availability)."

Am I better of getting one of these as a second 7950 or a matching reference MSI blower card for $30 more?

What's your case and motherboard?
What games do you play and what is your monitor's resolution?
Do you plan on overclocking?

I'm running a fractal arc midi with a EVGA Z77 FTW and 3770k

I play pretty much everything in terms of games at 7932x1440 (7680x1440 bezel corrected)

Overclocking really isn't possible with this resolution it pushes the card too hard, I'd have to go on water to overclock. I probably won't do that 'til next gen when I buy two next gen AMD cards.

The rig is still a work in progress, I still have the buy all the water cooling stuff for the rig (doing research and trying not to buy everything at once for the rig)

You could sell the reference 7950 and grab 2 of these. Since their coolers are so much better, you'd be able to overclock at quiet noise levels. If you plan on going water, then reference 7950 is probably preferable for waterblocks.

They will not ship items to the US since opening the warehouse in California and starting the NCIX US website. Had a short discussion with Linus about that a while back (item I wanted on the Canadian website wasn't available to me - used to shop with them a lot). They either don't want to bother with it now or don't want to cannibalize sales from their US site. Basically, if you don't live in Canada or aren't on the border its not an opportunity you can take advantage of (the price on the NCIX US website for that card is over $400).

Picked up one of these, I'll downclock to my other 7950 if I have to. If I decide to watercool EK blocks fit both this and my reference msi 7950 so it's all good.
