Hmm... not much else to say here. For those wondering, most (if not all) of them do not activate on Steam. Admittedly there's a lot of mediocre stuff on there, but there's also some gems. Kings Bounty and Men of War are a couple that come to mind. I'd stay it's still one hell of a goddamn bargain even if you have to wade through some of the crap.

Enjoy.

Best bargain ever.

King's Bounty -For me this was HoMM without the crap
Star Wolves - 3D space-based RTS meets RPG. Buggy and difficult but amazing and addictive. Non-linear with storyline.
Space Rangers - Odd turn-based old-school space-based game. Trading, RPG elements and non-linear with storyline.
Alien Shooter - Simple shoot-em up. Fans of Team 17's Alien Breed will feel right at home.

Just four games which combined have probably held my attention for in excess of 300 hours.

This is a great bargain. Space Rangers 2 was well reviewed, for one game to look at.

Nice feature unlike Steam: you can gift the games you want in the package (like if you already own them, like own a lot of them).

the men of war series is great as well. Very micro intensive but one of the more realistic war strategy games.

How does games from GamersGate work? You download and install them like you have a CD?

love that feature. iirc though, its not a steam issue. valve allows this for their games, it's the other publishers on steam that do not do it.

Pretty much. Unlike Steam, GG adds no additional layer of DRM, and I'm guessing many of these games are DRM-free. You basically just download the installer and run. Usually you can keep as many backups of the installer as you'd like (assuming there's no developer/publisher DRM attached).

Interested, but I already have to keep track of Steam, Origin and GoG, and it seems like I may even have games on something else I've forgotten.

lol..yea..I went in on a few Indy bundles that I've never downloaded and not even sure where to go to get them :/

Some of these are mildly older games. Wonder if they work in Win7 - 64bit.

One of the few I looked at listed SecureROM. Can't remember which one, though.

Dawn of Magic is a Starforce game, I do remember that.

Excellent value for the pack though.

Bought the pack. Now wondering where to start. Space Ranger seems intriguing. Maybe Men of War if one of my Friends pick it up.

I'm really tempted to get this just for the NecroVision games. Very Painkillerish, is seems.

Kings Bounty, Men of War, Necrovision, and Cryostasis make it very worth it.

Funny you mention NecroVision :D I actually love that series. Definitely similar to Painkiller, except even more bizarre. The game takes place in WWI fighting zombie soldiers and ghosts, then halfway through the game you transform into a vampire and use a whole new set of abilities to kill stuff.

Very low-budget and cheesy, but very satisfying. Unlike Painkiller you can also dual-wield and melee people to string together combos.

Can you just see the key? All I see is an option to download. I want to try some in Steam since I know they carry Star Wolves and King's Bounty.

The fact that Steam sells King's Bounty and Star Wolves is absolutely zero indication that the product keys will activate on Steam. Very few games will have their keys activate on Steam when purchased at another retailer, and even fewer actually require Steam to run.

I know for a fact that those two particular games aren't Steam activatible. If GG doesn't provide any sort of keys for them, then that should answer your question as-is. Sorry.

yea, I figured these weren't steamworks games. But doesn't hurt to try.

Anyone enjoying any of the games from this pack?

I installed 7.62 High Caliber - its not bad after you install the Unofficial Patch [ http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=7774 ] , and the Blue Suns Mod [ http://bluesunmod.webs.com/ ].

Game is a Jagged Alliance clone, turn based/real time hybrid. Still somewhat buggy (had 2 crashes to desktop in 5 hours or so). It has a very slow start and inventory micro-management is a big drawback. Still going to give it a few more hours and see how it goes.
