I just had a catastrophic hardware failure recently. I'm definitely picking these up as a replacement! THANKS!

Yeah I mean, cant argue with the price. heh.

Personally, id prolly rather have the CAS5 with heatspreaders stuff for $10 more. I hear those actually do cas4 anyways. Maybe its just me.

Your wish is my command!

Pick them up in store to save on $5 shipping.

I actually have a set of the Crucials in the original post and they do CAS5 just fine. Haven't tried 4.

well shipping is free anyway... so you wont save right now.

I have these same sticks (and bought another set).

People have gotten these up to ddr2-900-950 with CL5 with just a bit of volatge. CL6 is not so bad if its micron.

heh - my earlier Crucial kits were marked cas6 but autodetected in my board at cas 5 and ran (4x2GB, 5-5-5-15) through memtest for 12 hours without issue.

They were the micron chips.

Awesome deal.

Nat

*I should mention the default/min voltage of my board is 1.95V (DFI 975 x/g)

Thanks for the deal. I have a fileserver that is also running SQL and I want to upgrade it from 4 to 8GB, this should come in handy.

I would also advise everyone to get Ballistix version (the one with yellow heatsinks). Those are guaranteed to have Micron chips, you may not get a good batch/serial number chips, but you will get Micron chips. With the ramsink-less version you may not get Micron chips.

EDIT: Dang, placed an order for pickup couple of minutes ago and received a call just now they don't have any in stock locally, only 2 returns. Will have to order for $6 more shipped. Well, at least it's nice of them to call me right away about it.

Correct, these are the new Ballistix chips with the lower vDIMM. I guess Crucial finally realized their stuff wasn't lasting long at 2.2v. Regardless, you should always run RAM with the lowest volts it will tolerate to be stable.

See my sig...I'm running that Ballistix kit @ DDR2-960 with only 1.85v @ CL5. I believe Anand just reviewed some ram for the holidays too and said they would do DDR2-800 @ CL4 with 1.8v, though I haven't bothered trying.

Wow...with prices like this, I should put my spare matx case/PS to use and build something. It's an older power supply, though, so I'm not sure it'd work for anything new. :(

This ballistix RAM now has free shipping.

I got this deal today and printed the rebate. The blocks containing the product, UPC etc. comes out black even though they are looking good on the PDF file / monitor. Anyone had the same problem and or found a solution?
TIA

Thanks, but I think it is not the printer. I even rotated the page 180 degrees and printed it. Everything prints very good except the tabular column corresponding to offer number etc. So, there is something in that file (I hope it is not a doctored rebate!) or my pdf writer (Pro. V 7.0). Time to research further!

Well, tried to pick my memory up. Fountain Valley Fry's is officially run by a circus full of monkeys. They tried to give me memory that was torn up and half the packaging was missing. Usually I can bare the brunt of extremely poor service there, but today was just too much to handle. I stormed out empty handed.

I should have picked shipment for mine like you guys :(
