(Dead) "FREE" Novimex Learther Manager's Chair after rebate at Officemax (Only in-stores & only in some areas)

Novimex Learther Manager's Chair" (#20745384) $49.99 at Officemax (Only in-stores)

There are two Officemax weekly ads (different ads running in different area), the price for the Novimex manager's chair in the 2 page ad is $49.99 no rebate, but there's a $50 rebate for this chair on maxmyrebates.com making the chair free after rebate.
People are saying that a $50 rebate is printing out at the store, but the the expiration date on thr form is dated last Saturday.

Update The date on the rebate form that prints out at the store has been corrected and is now dated 7-18 to 7-24.
Also some people have been able to use the discount on the brown paper bag ad that was in some cities Sunday newspapers and other coupons when buying the chair.

whats the chance of the rebate being rejected if it ~IS~ a price mistake?
The rebate has nothing to do with the price of the chair. As long as the rebate form doesn't say that you have to pay a certain price to get the rebate it's not a problem.

😱 My mistake I was looking at the wrong ad, the one with the 2 page ad is the one with the chair priced at $49.99, there is no price mistake.

Yes, it's not real leather 😛 , hey it's free and you want real leather too 😕

damn I really need this along with a new computer desk, but my local office max is about 70 miles away. Free is good, but I wish it was online.

The chair has wheels on it, so although you may have to walk to get there, you could ride the chair back.

I am sitting in one of these chairs right now. Whatever the price was it was a lot more than $4.00 (California sales tax and a stamp). The chair is comfortable and worth getting even at $50. For this price I may get a second for my family room. No, Martha Stewart does not live with me. 🙂

Hey, the rebate's fine print says:

"Offer not valid with any other rebates, offers or promotions."

Any possibility it might be rejected since they have it on sale? If not then this is a no brainer. Thanks for sharing the deal.

I got one of those $40 AR chairs from OM last time.
The chair got pretty torn up after 3 months of usage.
If you want some cheap disposable chairs, these are great.. otherwise, you get what you pay for.
But FREE is always good 🙂

The ad boasts a 10 year warranty.

LMAO!

This whole deal is kinda confusing where I am...

On the website, if you go to flyers and my city, I found the chair there. Printed it and brought to store as they didn't have that ad for some reason. Bought 3 of them lol. No rebates printed out, went online and printed out rebates.

Double checked everything and everything matches, so I should be good to go. Also took a pic of the flyer online showing my city and the chair for $50.

So yeah if this is the case with other people as well, the deal may or may not be dead in that case... 😕 😉

My rebate printed out at the store.

Update: The Novimex Learther Manager's Chair Will be part of the up coming officemax's one day sale, in-store only, (July 31).
I have the one day sale posted here: LINK

I may have a slight problem. I purchased the chair under the "Family & Friends" sale. The chair was $99 - $50 Discount (Coupon Number: 06791191073104).

My question is...will I be able to get the MIR from maxmyrebates.com? The MIR states: Offer not valid with any other rebates, offers or promotions.

Someone say that there are 2 sticker type UPC code on the box, if that's correct you can peel off one of the UPC codes to send in with the rebate without cutting up the box. When you submitt the rebate using the on-line form you will recieve a tracking number for the rebate, use that number to keep track of the rebate on-line at RebateHQ.com to see when they say that your rebate has been received and is being processed, if you include you email address on the rebate form they will send you a email when they receive you mail-in part of the rebate form. If they reject your rebate you can return the chair to the store. The return policy for furniture is 30 day, it should take RebateHQ.com about 10 to 14 days to post the status of your rebate on their web site after you mail it in.

There are indeed 2 stickers and two printed UPC codes on the box. Since the darn rebate stated "copies" of the rebate, the digital camera in Macro mode did the trick without removing anything. Also very handy in getting a copy of the OfficeMax SKU number from the side of the box for rebate purposes also! 😉

Good Luck Everyone! 🙂
