If you scroll down below the $12 dollar tier there is a field to put in your email and you can receive a free game and some DLC for RPG Maker.

The name of the game is Mibibli's Quest. I haven't played it yet.

A few games are scattered through the tiers. Even the lowest tier gets you 3 games. 2 finalists from the Indie Game Maker '14 contest and one other.

I'm not a developer so I'm not sure if the game making software in here is decent or not. Looks neat though.

There should be more added to the BTA tier next Tuesday so it'll probably end up worth over $2k. I think it unlocks for you automatically even if you get it now.

Spriter Pro alone is worth the $12.

For the three people who do not have AGF Pro, it can create stand alone stuff, but many people find it incredibly useful as a pretty good level/terrain editor for Unity (especially with the Voxelsculpt add-on)

RPG Maker VX Ace... do I really need to add to the long list of nice things people say about it?

Stencyl - I've never used this tool, but again, people are making commercial games with it. It's geared toward using the GUI to create games, less on scripting.

AGK2 is from the same guys that brought us DarkBasic.

GameGuru - Again, never used it, but yet another tool to create stand-alone 3D games.

Lots of assets, too.

Overall, this is most useful if you combine it with something like Unity (which is free and being used to create a LOT of multi-platform games) and integrate these tools to make 2D and 3D games.

I use Spriter Pro to create animations and composite graphics for my mobile games (see my signature) Virtual Cat Toys, Conk The Roach and 21st Century Video Poker. All of those games were developed using Adobe Air (again, this can be a free option to create multi-platform games when combined with FlashDevelop).

At the very least, for $12, you get a slew of tools and the ability to dabble to see what works best for your workflow. This is a REALLY GOOD bundle.

If I had any free time at all I would be all over this. Spriter Pro looks like a lot of fun, and would be awesome for kid's projects if nothing else.

I should mention that the cockroach in my avatar is actually an animation from my Conk The Roach game, created with Spriter Pro by piecing together the legs, body and antenna to create different motions using "bones" (Inverse kinematics) that link the parts together.

I AdBlocked your avatar.

Thanks guys. I strive for realism. What's funny is that very little of the resulting roach is made up of an actual image of a roach. The legs, antenna, head and most of the body I created by hand.

Well, cats strive for it... Conk was an outgrowth of my Virtual Cat Toy app. They appreciate the realistic toys and critters.

I'm thinking about making some of my apps fully 3D, and give them even more of a squirm-factor.

Can I make a nuke in Spriter Pro, then launch it at your avatar?

Funny you should mention that... in Conk The Roach, I have "nuclear" roaches. Squish them, and they explode in a nice, satisfying mutant cloud, sometimes taking out a nearby roach, or setting a few on fire (and they take off in flames)

cool deal...ive always wnted to tool around with som aps like that. In the end, Unity is probably somrthing much more logical to use. Spriter pro looks very useful.

I really want to create an open world rpg in tge aame image as ultima the black gate
Sadly i dont think any of those programs have a cheat template like that :)

Just updated to add PlayCanvas and Tanx, Pro Motion 6.5 and more DLC and assets.

Pro Motion is the current version (though they have a 7.0 version coming out), and sells on their web site for $78.

I don't know anything about PlayCanvas, but it looks like a web-based tool to create 3D games for HTML5.

lol. Well, I actually bought the full pack, so looking forward to making some time to play with these. Watched the vids and looks like there's a good community for this. I've always wondered how I would get characters and monsters if I were to make a game since I can't draw.

Do you know of any good tutorial or any other resources?

There's plenty of stuff just on YouTube, but also check sites like Udemy.

The nice thing about all the assets is you don't have to be an artist - just start building the game you want, and if you get to the point where the assets don't quite fit, or you want to change something (maybe even the entire style), you can do it later.

My son has done some stuff with RPGMaker, and has a whole team of friends who do things like the graphics, music, sound effects.

i bought this thing. sad thing is i bought the rpg maker bundle and never touched it. i used the software before it got the steam integration back in the day. was fun to make a mini game in it. you can find some free resources online like sprites and music. or you can go to stacksocial. sometimes they sell sprite packs and ux elements.
