Ubisoft is giving away a number of their games over at GamersHell The games are ad supported, and you need to register at www.ubi.com to play them.

The servers are currently being hammered, so you may need to be patient

that's what I want to know...
Is it gonna load a bunch of adware and spyware onto my computer?
Or do I just have to stare at banner ads at the top of the screen?

Far Cry has ads on the loading screens. McDonald's ads are the only ones I've seen.

And if you deny Far Cry access to the internet with your firewall...no more ads. I have yet to see any.

So is it possible to play the games anymore? Everytime I try to play Ghost Recon it says I have to live in the US to do that, and I do live live in the U.S. and I even said that in my profile. SO what is up?

I also got this message
Thank you for downloading one of the promotional PC titles made available for ad-supported freeplay over the Labor Day weekend. The promotion is now closed and it is no longer possible to play the games for free.

If you are interested in further information on these titles, please visit our official website at www.ubi.com

if this is true, then i just wasted 7 hours of my life, and have yet to try installing it. plus i live in Canada so i was hoping to get past the whole "you must live in the U.S to play it" thing by using a U.S proxy :\
