First off, rarely do you see any of these on sale, even at Amazon. However, Tanga has all 3 at 50%+ off plus free shipping. These are the full package, which is disks and any books that come with it.

P90X - $50
P90X2 - $74
Insanity - $60
Rip 60 - $80
Zumba - $50

If you had to pick one, which one would it be? P90X? Insanity?

DBK, it depends. Insanity is a 60 day heavy cardio program. P90x is a 90 day muscle building/cardio program.

Having done both, I can say that you'll look better after doing P90x because you build lean muscle in more areas, and it's more flexible. The downside is that it's a longer program, and you need a bit of equipment to start. Insanity just requires your body.

haven't tried p90x but I had to give up on Insanity because it was too "jump" heavy which created unbearable pain on my joints but particularly on my broken foot.

If you are on the first floor it is. Otherwise, you do a LOT of jumping and the people beneath you will wonder when the ceiling will collapse. Or at least the couple in the apartment beneath me said.

Is p90x2 just a progression after p90x or is it possible to jump right into it?

You can jump right it, but you need a few other pieces of equipment that you don't need for p90x, like weighted balls and foam roller. I actually like P90X better, personally. I have X, X2 and Insanity.

I have free weights but no pull-up bar, how big of a problem is that for P90X?

I wonder if they have TapOutXT as part of that sale. I am doing that workout currently and I like it. You just need resistance bands with the handles and one for the feet. It is modeled after p90x with MMA style strikes and techniques thrown in. Some say the exercises are "more fun" but that's subjective.

If you don't have a pull-up bar, he shows how to do similar exercises using a band. That said, you still need something high to hook the band around.

I would go Insanity personally. I have done a bunch of BeachBody's work outs (I'm actually a BeachBody coach) I find P90X quite boring after Tony's entertainment value starts to fade. I would never recommend P90X2 unless someone really wanted to work on more flexibility and balance.
I would whole heartedly go with a combo of Body Beast and Insanity. I'm, actually doing a Body Beast & Asylum combo right not. Its pretty awesome! BB in the morning, and the Asylum a few hours before bed time. Kick ass!
