Dead Fantasy: mindblowing CGI fight sequence - must see!

This is from the same guy who made the famous Haloid video a few months ago. You don't need to recognize these game characters (from the Final Fantasy and Dead or Alive universes) to appreciate the mad skillz it took to make this...Some of the best fight choreography I've ever seen.

Final Fantasy vs Dead or Alive

He's got nothing on Donnie Yen.

Still, excellent work. I especially like his portrayal of the Gravity spell... but when you freeze magma, you don't get ice, you get rock.

I didn't recognize a bunch of Tifa's spells and stuff (not that she should be using spells in the first place...). Was that massive one in the middle of part 2 Ultima? Sure looked like it (at least, the portrayal shown in FFX/X-2).

I believe the big black hole thing was "demi", the crushing gravity spell.

The others she cast were "stop" and "haste", both time spells.

Holy shit that blows my mind indeed. Those are literally the most creatiev fight scenes i've ever seen in either movies or videogames. Great job by that guy. Too bad he doesn't have the graphics resources of Square or Blizzard to render the models

I didn't know Rinoa got wings. Damn it's been forever since I played FF8. Who's the chick in red w/ the key on the FF side?

Dude things were sweet until the chick with the Levi's busted in. Someone needs to let her know that low jeans are in now, none of this beyond the belly button shit.

Hmmm....well there were choppy animations in parts. I would certainly not call this mindblowing CGI. It was okay CGI, but I've seen tons of better stuff. Maybe for 10 years ago it would have been a bit more "mindblowing".

I really should finish FFXII one of these years...

It's really not worth your time. It was "revolutionary" and had neat ideas, but overall it was not a game that was even worth playing when there is so much more out there...

You don't suppose that she used an *ICE* spell, do you? I just assumed that she froze the lava (rock) and then overdid it (ice on top of rock).

Besides that though, what exactly in those movies was realistic anyway?
