Hey guys,

I don't think this counts as a "hot" deal since the price is actually a bit higher than at newegg, but I noticed Tiger Direct actually has the GTX 680 for 510. Price shipped (for me at least) is 518, and it says it'd be delivered by the end of the week. I've been looking for one, but now that I've found it I still am hesitating pulling the trigger -- as a grad student, this is ~1/3 of my monthly paycheck :/

But I figured all of you with real jobs might want to know about this, beats paying the scalpers on eBay :)

If this is a truly horrendous deal please delete!

EDIT: BTW, I noticed this is a KR, does this not have lifetime warranty?

EDIT2: Okay, looks like it is a 3 year warranty but its transferable and has some other perks: http://www.evga.com/articles/00671/

EDIT3(1:17AM): and it's sold out. thanks guys! I will now have real food for the next month instead of ramen.

Not officially dead but backordered. It's just the shipping date is pushed out to near end of April.

EDIT: Oh, btw $10 off when using Chase Visa, making the price on par with Newegg.

Tigerdirect is great for California residents.

Japhy Joe

TigerDirect charges tax for California residents... the trick is to sign up and order on their sister website CompUSA... same products and exact same deasl... BUT NO TAX!! Because CompUSA closed down and went out of business in California...

I wasn't charged tax the last time I bought through TD???

Code:
Total for all Items: $334.99
Shipping & Handling: $21.80
Sales Tax: $0.00
Grand Total: $356.79

S&H is high because I overnighted it. This was on 9/28/11. Are you sure you don't have that reversed? TD is in FL, CompUSA had some presence in CA so I would expect them to charge CA tax.

Careful with tigerdirect. They showed stock on all the 680s launch day I was on the computer waiting for them to show up. I ordered and got an email 2 days later saying they were backordered. I now am still waiting for my card, it finally shipped yesterday. YRMV

Yeah, I am pretty sure... let me double check to see if I can find my old invoices... I get charged 0 tax for the CompUSA.com side of Tiger I know for sure - there is NO CompUSA in California, they closed down all their stores...
