Dang, if it wasn't for the nostalgia factor of my BFG power supplies (have 2x EX-1000s and 2x ES-800s in service), I'd switch to these :(

BFG made decent PSUs, but some of them did have issues with high voltage ripple. It's also not modular (right?) and there is no way to run them with no fan at low power usage. The 1000W is inaudible up to 500W and even up to 800W would be quieter than most CPU/GPU fans. :D

BFG is a sad story - according to them, it was NV's Fermi that killed them (NV didn't provide them with enough chips/support), and once they couldn't provide enough GPUs, BestBuy dropped them entirely leaving them with excess PSU inventory. For some reason they couldn't maintain profitability with NV's chips despite being pretty popular.

The EX-1000 did have some ripple problems, but that's why I modified both of mine :)

Wow, you are handy! I wouldn't know how to work with electronics like that at all.

By the time you and I upgrade our PSUs, we might have 800W Titanium fanless by then. :D
