Dead drive?

My Acer 40x16x10 seems to have crapped out, not sure why. I recently upgraded to a Shuttle AK31A from an A7V133, and can't remember if it worked after that. I do no my problems started last week, when it would write to CDRs, but every single burn turned out bad. I use Clone CD and Prassi Primo CD. Any ideas wtf is going on?

Have you tried using the ASUS mobo again with the CD-R? Is it just the buring cr@ping out or/and the reading of CD's?

No, I haven't tried the Asus again, I think the burning job is bad, since my other PC won't read the CDRs from it anymore.

Have you tried burning at a lower speed?

Is your new MOBO overclocked in anyway? If so revert to stock speeds and see if that helps.
