For those watercooling GPUs, 3 of these @ 1300mhz would be screaming!!!

5 year warranty is nice too. Yup, this card is not as quiet as after-market coolers but I bet with a custom fan curve it can be managed if you force the fan speed to never exceed 40%. Usually GPUs can easily take 85-90*C. This is a solid deal for people who don't overclock since the performance ~ GTX670.

Side-note 1: Price dropped from $549 MSRP Jan 9 launch to $312 (or 9 months and 43% depreciation). Looks like the best values come in at the end of a generation for those looking to upgrade their 2-3 generation old GPUs. Always a good reminder why buying brand new GPUs at launch often tends to be costly :(. HD7970 CF for less than $650 with 2 of these or just $100 more than what 7970 cost just 9 months ago. Mind-blown at how fast some high-end GPUs drop in price.

I knew it. I went and bought the Asus 7870 for $220 and had a feeling once it was sent, a cant miss killer deal would come out.

While this is a great deal for those who need this kind of horsepower, I prefer my nice power efficient and quiet 7870. And it's not like it was the same price, another $90 is still a decent chunk of change.

Looks like a fire sale to get rid of stock on a discontinued card. And here I was hoping this was the new price for these cards...

Amazon does not price match I contacted them about the GHz vapor x and they said only for tv's

They do pricematch but officially it's only for tvs. You can report a lower price from another site and sometimes they'll pricematch outright or they'll do it a few days later. Possibly because whoever's in charge of that component has to get approval. Or they have to acquire the stock ahead of time.

They definitely used to do it regularly for game downloads. Not as much recently.

Edit: showed them the links where it was cheaper and they said they have no information on the price difference and that they only price match TVs.

You don't contact them, you click the "tell us about a lower price" button on the product page in the details section.
