http://www.d-silence.com/arc9-2000.html

Adaptec, Inc., the global leader in innovative storage solutions, today announced the discovery and seizure of more than $1 million in counterfeit Adaptec products at six U.S. firms.

More than 5,000 faked Adaptec AHA-2940 and AHA-3940 host bus adapters, together with infringing software and documentation, were confiscated by U.S. marshals, October 15, at GlobalNet Computer Components of Canoga Park, Calif., Amcotec, Inc. of Livermore, Calif., Lexy Pacific Corp. of Mountain View, Calif., Globe Cargo, Inc. of Hawthorne, Calif., Unisun Group, Inc. of Foothill Ranch, Calif., and Global Source Technology of Thornton, Colo. Several other defendants are also being sued on allegations of trademark and copyright infringement for trafficking and possessing counterfeit goods, according to Adaptec president and CEO, Bob Stephens.
