Dead: it was a deal for the week of 9/14.

Compusa has the Altec Lansing ATP3 set for $30 after a $30 rebate this week.

I have a set that I got for $40 + $15 shipping. Admittedly, the bass is kind of weak, though that can be upped via equilizer. No headphone jack, unfortunately. It doesn't sound as "full" as the BA-735's I have that Compgeeks also sells for $15 refurb sometimes. But then again, it's been rumoured that Altec Lansing uses cheaper (more inferior, lest costly) components in these now than they used to when the ATP3's were first released.

Not too bad for $30, but not really worth retail $80 IMHO. Not very bassy but others claim this set's midrange and high frequencies sounds pretty good.

Edit: just thought of something else. Since the rebate is valid at Cusa only, you may be able to PM to CC for the AR price and leave the door paying $25 (after 110% PM). Just be sure to print a rebate and show them where it says valid at Cusa only.

Bought these last year on an OM F&F sale for $30. For $30 they're impressive, and while the bass isn't up to Klipsch standards, the set does perform very well.

Good deal, I bought these at OMAX a few weeks ago for $50. My G/F wanted these because she thought they looked cool. Compusa wants $15.00 to ship them to me, otherwise I would return these to OMAX and order from Compusa. Looks like shipping will kill the deal for most people that don't have Compusa local. I wish they still had penny shipping.....

I had these speakers before I upgraded to the Yamaha YST-MS50. ATP3 is very good, especially if you can get if for $30. I liked their sleak design, and it was more than enough for a small room/desk for mp3 and games.

they are really nice speakers, but what gets me is the fact that they still retail for $80. it's been a few years since the introduction.. but for $30 after some rebate hassels, a good deal.
