I got this a few months ago at $135, worth every penny, so fun to use, there is much to be desired with editing the AVI HD files, apparently nero 9 is the best program to use, havent tried it yet

apparently the main flaw is the battery life but the video is quite good for such a cheap device (search for it on youtube)

Nice little recorder, picked one up for $135 also and it's been great for capturing short clips of our kids or other random adventures. I haven't noticed any battery life issues but I tend to operate the camera in short slices of time rather than for long continual recordings. A quick review:

- Size - small/light even with battery installed
-Interface - intuitive, easy to use for novices
- Picture quality - see the review link above, I find the colors a bit blown out but the low light performance is better than the Mimo and given a majority of my shots are in unpredictable light I found this was the better camera for my uses.
- Audio - picks up wind noise like crazy but provides acceptable monoural sound front of the camera.. I don't like to provide extended narration behind the camera while shooting but noticed my voice was obviously more muted than subjects in front of the unit.
- Battery life - I've filled the unit's memory before running out of space in the highest quality mode (all I shoot) so I'd say that's more than adequate.

Great buy for $100 and includes the required mini-HDMI cable and a protective case!

looks like its OOS but back in stock Aug 23. You can still order it at the $99 price

this deal is too good to pass up for anyone who is on the fence about this. I can't see any similar model being cheaper for a long long time

i figues with flash prices falling... maybe soon.

the new kodak 1080 one with SD slot is the one im hoping to get for $99 eventaully.

As a cheaper alternative, especially if you already have sd cards lying around and you don't mind pink refurbs:
Kodak Zi6 $70+ship @ Geeks

It does 720p, though the video quality is not as good as the Flip either. I've had it for a few days now and am pleased with it. What's nice about this is that it uses AA batteries and SD cards. It's not as compact as the Flip or the Vado consequently.

EDIT: FIXED link. I suck at linking apparently.

Seems to be dead, getting this here (not sure if it was sold by Amazon before):
Price: $121.00
In Stock.
Ships from and sold by Adorama Camera.

+wide angle lens
+8hr recording capacity at vga mode

used it on a mount on the backseat to record my commute to work (A lot of stop signs)

too bad the battery really only last about 1.45min (an ac power adaptor w/ continuous record would be great for 8hr vga surveillance)
