I ordered a new mobo, CPU, and memory 2 weeks ago to upgrade my old computer. The new computer will be:

Phenom II X3 720
8800GT 512mb
4gb Kingston DDR3 RAM
320gb SATA HDD
ASRock M3A770DE AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard

2 weeks ago, I plugged everything in and it didn't turn on (nothing on screen, all fans spinning). Today my motherboard RMA came, since I figured that was the only thing that could be wrong (since it wouldn't boot with either stick of RAM). I put in the new mobo, still no boot. I checked that my GPU, video cable, monitor, power supply, HDD, etc. still work - the computer booted with old parts.

The only other thing I can think of is the CPU being faulty, but that is very rare AFAIK. I did bend some pins earlier, but they're all back in place and intact.

The other odd thing is that the power button works for turning the machine on, but not off.

Any ideas?

I didn't mean to be so brash - I was feeling kind of shitty and irritable that morning. Thanks for coming into the thread.
