I push power and the power supply and all the fans get working. The keyboard lights flash once. The dvd drive accesses a bit. The mobo light is on and green.

There is no signal to the monitor. I try the keyboard shortcut to shut it down again, thinking maybe xp loaded but there's nothing. The xp startup sound didnt play anyways.

I remove the case. The cpu fan was not fastened securely. It was on it but not locked in over the cpu.

I was thinking of goin to get a new mobo and cpu.

Anyways, any help appreciated.

are you translating for someone else that is having the issues described?

I'd recommend that they manually test the PSU with and without a load on it with a multimeter.

Nah it's my computer, I'm just saying I assume what I wrote is understandable. Like st must be Seagate.

Maybe I'll see if a friend has a psu I can test? I wonder how much a multimeter is. Hehe. And the korean word for it...

????

need to test your PSU before you start messing things up by swapping parts out randomly.

The guy in the hardware store said he didn't know how to test a psu with a multimeter. Then we figured one of my ram chips must be bad cuz everything works fine if we remove it. Thanks for the replies!
