Heres the story:

Woke up, computer was froze up, cold booted and all I get is a blank screen. the hard drives boot, the cdroms try to read, the floppy never trys to
read, nothing comes up on the screen. The fans are going. I have tried it with 1 stick of ram instead of the 3 I have, tried it with 2 different hard
drives, 2 different video cards, and I dont have a sound card. Ive also tried it with just the ram chip video card and HD. So here are my choices, its either the ram, the MB, the chip, or the power supply.

If it were the power supply would I have any power, is it possible that the power to the mb is the only power out?

If it were the chip wouldnt I get some kind of error on the screen rather than a blank screen?

If it were the ram wouldnt it give some kind of error rather than nothing at all.

I just had the motherboard replaced, so I am doubtful that it is the MB.

Sounds mobo to me. Weird if you just had it replaced, though...

Oh, okay🙂 n/m

adul wouldnt I get a error about the chip or something?

bobtist I just sent the board in for this problem and they replaced it.

Its an abit va6 board what kind of beeps should I be listening for?

I would try:

1) Carefully re-seat the video card, check that it is a good fit (I had one that looked and felt like it was seated fine, but I tried again out of desperation and found it had the tiniest little bit more to fit in - worked fine after that.

2) Just boot with Motherboard, RAM, and Vid card - no HD, no floppy, nothing else.

3) Clear the BIOS (I can slip a piece of paper between the battery terminal on top of my battery to do this - check your documentation for your motherboard)

Again, these are just things I personally would try on my own PC in a similar situation.

The system has been running for a year up until this happened nothing had been changed in the system. I doubt it is the seating. I will try the suggestions though thanks

I know - thats why the vid card seating was the last thing I tried when my PC just magically stopped one day. It made no sense, but I guess it either juuuuust nudged out a bit, was bumped (my cat), or if the connection was just "iffy".

I know its doubtful - just sharing my experience once.
