(DEAD)
(Update Great news Officemax will have the Cendyne 4x Internal DVD+R/RW Drive on sale next week for $149.99 after rebates, call Staples next week and have them PM the after rebate price under their 110% low price guarantee and get back $33 or maybe $77.

I have the Officemax deal posted here :
CenDyne 4x DVD(+)RW/R Drive For "$119.99" or $99.99 ARs & AC at Officemax

WE should post the real deal here. Not some 50 off coupon that 99.9999999 percent of the users here are not entitled to.

How do we go about getting this staples email?

And I know I'm being a little pedantic, but I think, Zorro, you emphasized the wrong word...

Zorro is absolutely right. Getting any Staples coupon to work that uses a 7 digit code that you got off the net is VERY YMMV. The policy seems to have become that you need to either give them the 16? digit number or if you have a 7-digit that you must FWD them the email you got the coupon in, or fax them a copy of the ad that you found the coupon on. Anyone that lets you use a 7-digit coupon without asking for said proof is obviously just being lax on their responsibilities, and that is what makes the coupon VERY YMMV.

You can just order it online & use the smaller digit code. I just did it a few days ago with an 80GB HD & it worked like a charm :)

#1: You can always not use a coupon and pay $50 more and no one will try to stop you from doing that. :p #2: What do you mean by we  have you ever posted any deal? real or not.

Who makes this drive?

I think I may want to wait until the black bezel dual format drives are available from Cendyne.

The one I saw said, NEC ND-1100A on the back of the box under Model #.

I have had the 104, 105, still have the 103, and now have the HP300i which is the Nec ND-1100A, and IMHO it is the best of the bunch. Why? It actuallys burns +R dvd's rated at 2.4x speed and 4x speed at those numbers. Not trying and find the right media that actually burns at the rated speed, but finally having a burner that burns the way it is supposed to. This is one helluva price!

MysticMan probably posts the most deals out of anyone I've seen and has been around for a while. His deals, including this one are almost always accessible to anyone willing to put in the effort to find the coupons. Just cause you're too lazy to look for them doesn?t mean this isn?t a good deal. If you don?t have anything good to say about a deal, don't say anything.

Nice deal MysticMan.

It always happens that way doesn't it. If you haven't removed the UPC code you can still return the verbatim drive to the store, but there's only about 15 mins differents between the recording speed of the 2.4x and 4x drives
