[DEAD] Black Rosewill Wireless Keyboard & Optical Mouse $19.99 Shipped Free

This sure looks like a good buy.
I like the fact that it is PS2 rather than USB [ it will work with my PS2 KVM switch ]
I thought Rosewell was a Newegg house brand.

just an FYI, i have the silver model and well, you get what you pay for. the keyboard is cool, the mouse is a throw away, at least for me and a couple reviews i saw (new egg i think, where i got it ) agreed.
still, not a bad keyboard for 20.

Looks like a deal. Anyone know the range on this? I need a cheap setup like this for my media CTR PC, but need at least 15ft of solid signal...not up to 15tf which usually means 6-10ft good signal, and flaky beyond that.

Anyone having problems with this keyboard & mouse? Great deal for $20 - recieved mine in 3 days (NY)!!

When I hooked it up everything ran great. On Saturday, I noticed a smell coming from the keyboard. My guess was that it was new and that was all - no overheating. Today my PC shut down in mid-email. Can't restart. I posted this here because I wanted to know if anyone that bought in on this deal had any problems. I e mailed Rosewill and I am hoping to get an answer today. In the meantime I think the PS might be done - It's a cheap Powermax 500 watt, but not sure if this is a coincidence or something with a bad keyboard. Everything is hooked up right.

I'm a newbie to posting so if this is in the wrong section please let me know.

Do the keys require a lot of force to press? I have a regular keyboard and my big complaint is that it takes a little bit extra force to press the keys, so it wears out my fingers over time.

The keys are very easy to press. And very quiet.

I've had some minor problems with the mouse. It will go thru some spells where it is not very responsive....maybe 15 seconds a day. Likely due to interference...directions require the receiver to have 8 inches of clearance from other electrical devices, but on a desk with 2 comps, 1 monitor, speakers, phone, lamp, 2 printers, etc., that is a little difficult.

Only semi-real problem is that my monitor will not got to sleep anymore. I have it set to power down after 20 minutes, but with this new combo, it doesn't. If anyone knows a workaround for this, please post.
