Dead (?) Asus P5W DH Deluxe/Core 2 Extreme X6800

During the hot weather last week, my system was having some troubles. It finally failed to boot, and I noticed that the NorthPole XL chipset cooler fan wasn't turning.

So I bought another one and installed it, and this one won't turn either. I tried it on all 3 plugs on the motherboard, and it won't turn at all.

The system is not completely dead, as the large fans work (they are plugged directly into the power supply), and the LEDs on the motherboard light up.

But the keyboard lights don't come on, and I get no video signal.

Any ideas? Here are my specs:

Asus P5W DH Deluxe
Intel Core 2 Duo Extreme X6800
OCZ 600W power supply

Update: I found an old Pentium CPU that fits this motherboard, and put it in. Same deal; no keyboard lights, no video, and no NorthPole fan circulation.

First check and make sure none of the power connectors on the board got loose (thouhg if the led's are lit then they probably are). After that try resetting the cmos, see or if it beeps when you turn it on count the number of beeps and check the manual to see what error it is getting.

I figured it out.

I replaced my high-speed RAM with some older, slower RAM, and it booted (with the Pentium processor). I know the high-speed RAM is good, because it's practically brand new. I checked my settings, and the memory voltage was too low. I upped it, replaced the X6800 and the high-speed RAM, and now I'm back in business.

I guess that the last thing I did before it died was to lower the memory voltage to see if that would make it run cooler.

And I further guess that the motherboard's power connectors for the NorthPole require a functional CPU and memory in order to work.

I guess I know now what memory voltage I need to run.

Hi. I have a p5w dh deluxe motherboard. i got off amazon in "working condition".
However i doesnot do anything other than the power ligh on the mo bo and graphics card lights up. (i switch the gtx graphics crd with a 9600 gso so there's no graphics card indicator light.) i replaced everything. seriously, what did i do wrong????? please help me!!! i payed $80 for the board plus $40 to have it shipped all the way from china. help plz.
