Probably reacting to Steam currently having a sale on it too for $29.99

Good price for a good game. Wish I had more time to play it.

I bought Witcher 2 on amazon a month or so ago, first time using their download service. The 16GB download took over ~30 hours on my DSL. The first time there were some corrupted files, so i had to download it again. Not saying it was Amazons service, but i never had a problem on Steam, Gamersgate or D2D.

Great game. Easily worth it at that price point if you like RPGs at all. Playing through Witcher 1 isn't required, but you'll understand the back story references that come up every now and then in the game.

How is amazon's download service? Any DRM or need to log into anything to play the game?

I bought it and downloaded it. The only problem I have with the service is that you cannot change the location where it downloads the file, so I ran out of room on my SSD trying to download the program. I had to clean out a few programs to allow the 30GB of data files to finish downloading.

Once it is done downloading, you can install the program wherever you want though.

Does this service give you access to just the CD key so you can activate it in Steam?

edit: Nope, found it can't be activated in Steam. Fuck it, Steam will have a better deal within the next 6 months.

Just...so...tempting.....

But I haven't even scratched the surface in Two worlds 2. I have to force myself to play some of these games, instead of paying $10-$20 to treat them as demos.

LOL apparently they don't want my money anyway. This is like all the Kindle books they've denied me due to region locking - I could beg them to take my money, but if they don't want it then fuck them - there's plenty of other places to get this stuff.
