I think they had a one day deal for 59.00 when when prime sold for 79.00.
That was awhile back. This is dead now.

Not over the past 1.5-2 years, anyway... There was another $79 "sale" in, iirc February?, of this year, which is when I signed up (after using the 30-day trial during the pre-Christmas shopping "season" last year and then canceling it.) It 's been a decent-to-good deal for me, expending a little effort to maximize it without reference to the "perks" like music streaming, etc, but at the moment I'm thinking the extra $20 will be just enough to stop me from renewing, at least right away, when my sub expires in a few months...
