Deal is dead.

240GB Sandisk Extreme SSD is at its lowest new price @ $149.99. I run this drive in a IVB laptop and have been very happy with it.

Running a few of the SD Card listings on Camelizer also shows a lot of lowest prices seen so far on these products.

Prices are for today only, obviously.

Wow those are some good prices there. The memory is class 10 too which is the good stuff that is needed for vid cams to do high def vid. This is tempting but I really don't need more memory.

Yea $42 on the 64 micro-sd card is tempting. That was the same price during black-friday special. Mostly i'm trying to decide bite now and if not speculate how long till the next time it drops that low.

Anyone know how the Sandisk 32 GB microSD performance compares to the same size Samsung? Both are class 10 etc., but not sure how their actual tested speeds compare or by how much their read and/or write speeds differ.

When I reading through users reviews; there was one comment with some benchmarks that suggested the samsung card was a bit better. The problem with this is that (a) samsung actually has several different cards using different technology and (b) it was a user review and while it seemed detailed it is not verifiable.

Historically there has been an issue that over time these cards change but keep the same model # so it seems like a moving target to give a decent comment here.

The 240 GB SSD went OOS yesterday afternoon, but it's back in stock today for $150.

So much for the Gold Box price! Sandisk just announced the Extreme II series based on a Marvell controller, so distributors are probably in the process of selling off their remaining stock of Extreme (I) SSDs.

If there isn't much stock in the channel, we probably won't see this drive go much lower. Was hoping for < $130 at some point; but SSD prices have really stabilized since last fall.
